I've had enough - thank goodness for a Phillies/Rays World Series

I am so sick and tired of hearing about Manny Ramirez and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Even after the Phillies won the pennant on Wednesday night, so much of the talk was about where Manny would play next year and what the Dodgers would do to bring him back.

On Monday after the Phillies took a 3-1 series lead in a phenomenal game in which they hit two late two-run home runs all the boneheads on Fox could talk about was Joe Torrre’s decision to bring in Corey Wade in the 8th inning instead of Jonathan Broxton. Umm, did they not realize the Phillies won?

Enough is enough. I'm glad I don't have to hear about the Dodgers anymore.

And don't even get me started on the Red Sox. Maybe the media still thinks the Sox are in a championship drought. I've got news for everyone. The Sox have won two championships. Enough is enough with all of the talk about the Red Sox.

It's clear baseball and the TV networks wants a World Series that pitted Ramirez against the Red Sox. One might have though the Phillies and Rays were going to roll over.

Thank goodness neither the Dodgers nor Sox are going to be in the World Series.

But this brings me to the Rays and what I know is going to bother me.

The Rays are a great story, for sure. They've gone from first to last in amazing fashion with young talented players. They've dominated the Red Sox.

The question in Tampa is, did anyone notice before October?

I can't stand bandwagon fans and that is exactly what most Ray’s fans are. They drew a whopping 14,000 fans per game. Now all of the sudden Tampa is going to take the tarp off of upper deck seats (that are missing seat backs by the way) so that they can fit more fans. Where were these fans before? How convenient that all of the sudden they care.

The Rays have been called a team of destiny. Please. They have only been in the league for 11 years. Ohhh, 11 years of suffering - how horrible.

Philadelphia fans have been suffering for 25 years. The Phillies have the most losses of any sports team ever. Among cities that have four major sports team, Philadelphia has the longest championship drought. The Phillies have not won the World Series in 28 years. Now that's suffering!

It's the Phillies time. Maybe after the win the World Series the national media will actually talk about them instead of the other team.
