When will the disappointment with the Eagles end?
Years ago it was frustrating NFC championship loss after frustrating NFC championship loss.
Lately it has been terrible play week after week.
But since their Super Bowl loss in 2004, this has to be one of the more frustrating losses.
After the Tampa Bay Bucs loss earlier in the day, the Eagles controlled their own destinay to make it into the playoffs.
All they had to do was win two games. It was theirs to go out and take.
They stunk!
The Eagles came out with no sense of urgency, the playcalling was terrible again, they wasted timeouts, and only scored three points in a game they had to have.
Pathetic.
Another timeout sure would have been nice after Reggie Brown was stopped just short of the endzone and a game-tying touchdown with just a few seconds left. But no, the Eagles wasted a timeout just a few plays into the second half.
Instead, the Eagles came up just short and their playoff hopes are just about gone.
Just as I thought about a month ago, the Eagles turned things around just enough this season that the top brass would not make any major changes - mainly getting rid of Andy Reid.
I for one have had enough of the frustration.
Hey, at least the Phillies won the World Series.
