Improbable comes true for Eagles

What started out as a day where only one could dream of everything falling into place for the Philadelphia Eagles to make the playoffs, ended with an explanation point and a playoff berth for the Eagles.

Just before kickoff the Eagles found out they got the help they needed as both the Bears and Bucs lost.

Again, the Eagles held their destiny in their own hands. But unlike a week before where they squandared the opportunity, the Eagles took their second chance, grabbed it by the throat, stepped on it, and absolutely demolished the Dallas Cowboys, 44-6.

The defense was phenominal, forcing turnovers all over the place and returning two fumbles for touchdowns.

There have been classic games with the Cowboys, but this may have been the most important. It was a win or go home game for both teams. The Eagles obviously did not want to go home.

And now they will go on to face the Minnesota Vikings in the first round of the playoffs.

Does it seem imporbable the Eagles could win the Super Bowl? Yes.

But would it be any more improbable than what happened today to even make the playoffs? Maybe not.
